Title: Dragon of Lonely Island

Author: Patricia Rupp

Reviewer: Kristen

Rating:

Three children spend a summer on a secluded island with their mother where they find a three headed dragon living in a cave on top of a hill. Each o f the three headsd has a different story to tell about what it means to be a "Dragon Friend". If you want to know what a "Dragon Friend" is, then read this exciting, action packed book. I think this book is fun for kids of all ages and maybe for some parents, too. My mom {the youth librarian at the Llano Library} loved reading this book. This book is also one of this year's, 2001 - 2002, Bluebonnet Books.

Title: Redwall

Author: Brian Jacques

Reviewer: Nicole

Rating:

REDWALL is a book  about an abbey of mice that are attacked by evil rats. The rats have a very evil leader named Cluny. The mice of Redwall give sanctuary to all the animals of the forest while the rats were attacking.REDWALL used to have a protector named Martin. Martin somehow knew that a young   mouse named Matthias would be a great warrior like himself. He left clues every where for Matthias to find. The clues were for him to find his sword, shield, & belt. Matthias finally found them. I would tell you more, but that would ruin the story.

Harry Potter is an unusual boy who was left on the front door step of his aunt and uncle's house ten years ago. He is now eleven and is about to learn something that his aunt and uncle have kept from him since he came to live with them and their son Dudley. At a shack on a rock in the ocean, Harry gets a visitor who tells him that he is going to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At first Harry thinks the man made a mistake, bu then the huge man tells him about his parents and how they died. He also learns how he got the lighting shaped scar on his forehead. Harry was having the best time of his life until he met his most dangerous enemy ... the dark wizard who killed his parents. This book is fun for everyone, young and old. Title:    Summer  Sisters

Author: Judy  Blume

Reviewer:  Casey

Rating:

Victoria  is a young girl looking for a friend.  She is new in town and knows no one. Then one day she meets a young girl named Caitlin.  Caitlin is afraid of no one and nothing.  She is full of ambition and completly the opposite of Victoria(Vix).  The girls go to school together and become good friends. Then Caitlin asks Vix if she would like to go on vacation with her and her family. On the vacation Vix discovers many things about Caitlin that she didn't know. When she meets Caitlin's older brother she thinks nothing about it but later on she finds that she will need him alot.  Many things happen through out the story but  nothing stops Vix's and Caitlin's friendship. The end is very tragic and Vix realizes that Caitlin wasn't as "happy" as she thought. This is a wonderful book and I recommend it to anyone that loves, or even likes, to read.
