Upcoming Book Festival Event

Special guests from the Austin Chapter of the Romance Writers of America will be featured at a Salad Luncheon on Friday, October 26 at 1:30 p.m. as part of the Kingsland Library’s month-long Llano County Book Festival. Featured authors include Julie Ortolon, Julia London, Laura Griffin and Tracy Wolff. Make plans to enjoy this opportunity to sit down to lunch with these acclaimed authors at the Windchime Dining Room in Kingsland. Tickets are $10 and are on sale now at the Kingsland Library.

Julie Ortolon says, “The journey to becoming a published author was long and hard, but writing is the most thrilling thing I've ever done.” She has published many books including the Pearl Island Trilogy, the Perfect Trilogy, and her newest release, “Unforgettable”.

Julia London is the New York Times bestselling author of the irresistibly romantic Desperate Debutantes Trilogy. This series finds three aristocratic young ladies suddenly destitute and having to resort to desperate means to keep up appearances. Check out “The Hazards of Hunting a Duke”, “The Perils of Pursuing a Prince” and the final in the series, “The Danger of Deceiving a Viscount”.

Laura Griffin began her writing career as a journalist, and has recently published her debut novel “One Last Breath”. It has been said that Griffin’s fully fleshed characters, dry humor, and tight plotting make a fun read and a promising career kickoff.

Tracy Wolff is also a member of the Romance Writers of America and is looking forward to publishing her first novel.

If you would like more information about this event or would like to purchase tickets, contact the Kingsland Library, 125 W. Polk, Kingsland, Texas 78639 or call 325-388-3170. While you are at it, check out information on all of the Llano County Book Festival events happening the entire month of October at the Llano, Kingsland and Lakeshore Libraries.
